– another amazing year for By Sunroad
Another year gone by and the calendar now says 2020. Me and my small Copenhagen photography business have tried to pick out the best images from 2019.
It really has been an amazing year for By Sunroad. I feel so privileged, proud, lucky, and grateful to all you lovely people I have been allowed to photograph this year. Thank you for your trust in me, and for contributing to fill my year with love and joy.
2019 has been the year where I finally did my first maternity shoot. I did it my way, I loved it, and I hope to do many more like it. I also got started with newborn photography. It is an amazing feeling to be allowed into peoples home and life at such a profound moment.
Thank you so much to all you you great people who let me look at you through my lens. Thanks to family and friends who supported me, and to the best husbond in the world, without whom I could not do what I do.
It is not an easy task, but I have tried to pick out some of the best images and moments from 2019. I hope you see what I see.

So glad we decided to re-shoot the family pictures. They just weren’t spot on the first time around. From the Christmas Newborn shoot. Baby Avni was born to be a model. Such a great first experience with maternity photography. I really feel like I found my way of doing this. True to my style. The perfect smile caught on camera. This smile just says it all. Joy, love, humor. I love it. A perfect cinderella moment – it just happened between poses, and I was quick with my camera to get the shot. Just love that Nick and Gunhild wanted this urban industrial setting for their couple-session. From a perfect summer day on Orø. A day with room and opportunity for experimenting and being creative with at great model. Taking pictures through windows is just the best. Love how you can capture people without them posing. Love the pictures where you have to really look, to see and understand what it is that you are looking at. This picture means a lot, because I am so glad I got it. I was only allowed to shoot while the couple walked in and out. This image is shot from the hip, from a church bench. I just couldn’t resist, and I did my best to be discrete. This image is just so fitting to describe this shoot with this amazing couple. It brings me right back there. So much fun. Sometimes the crazy photographer gets crazy ideas – and sometimes she is fortunate to have a truly amazing model who just gets it. Suh a cold day, I was freezing. Men in uniforms – a stunning bride – a great day. Another image that just brings me back there. I feel the warmth, the laughter, the smiles. And I just love reflections. In love with the clash between the dark rustic architecture, and the light, colourful, smiling girls.
